I'm sorry that this experience has happened to you, not once, but twice. You didn't mention that anyone was hurt or that the blowouts caused any accidents. Assuming that is true, that is good news!

I don't blame you for being upset, pissed, about the tires. I am curious as to how many miles the tires had on them when they blew out. Had they been serviced or inspected since they were installed, especially after you began to notice the shimmy? Did you have the remaining three tires inspected after the first one blew out?

In the future, if you car begins to behave strangely, especially after work has just been done or parts replaced, don't ignore it.Just like pain is our body tells us that something isn't right, the shimmy in your car was telling you that there was a problem. Don't just ignore it as assume it will be ok, you must have it checked. It understandable that your financial resources are limited, and sometime you have to get somewhere, like work, but you have to also understand that when something on your car is giving you a warning sign of failure, i.e. the shimmy, your taking your chances by continueing to drive it. Under these conditions, keep your speed down and don't drive it any further or longer than you absolutely must and understand that there is a good chance it won't get you there and back.

Anytime your car starts to suddenly "shimmy", you should have it checked immediately. Also, if one of your tires blows out, it's not advisable to continue driving the car without having the other tires checked first. I don't blame you for being upset, pissed, but be thankful that you or any one else was hurt during these blowouts.

Sometimes a production run of tires have flaws when they are manufactured that can manifest as anything from an annoying noise to belt seperation or, in your case, a blowout. Did you go back to the tire dealer? Did they offer any sort of compensation for the failure or make good on your warantee claim?
