xtrac - Douglas X-TRACII 185/75R14 Tires

Have purchased xtrac Douglas tires for a 97 corolla since purchase at 115k now has 190k. The Douglas have lasted 10k on the rear although the 4 wheels were aligned 3 times with no change in tread wear. Changing the rear struts eliminated inner tread wear, now wear is even although wear continues at 10k. The front originally was approximately 20-30k until the last tire was placed on at 178k and now has 13k on tire with 3/32 tread remaining, alignment still good. 2-3 of the rear tires over the years have developed a cupping with one exposing the steel cords before the tire was bald. Will be switching to Goodyear viva at $10 more per tire but worth the cost since Douglas is costing more over time with 10-15k per tire. Viva usually lasted longer on cars with good alignment etc. Walmart must know something about the Douglas with the price dropping $10 in the last 2 years whereas most tire prices followed high oil prices up.
